California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to
Kids (CalWORKs) is a welfare program that provides cash
aid and services to eligible families with children.
If a family has little or no cash and needs
clothes, and medical care, it may
be eligible to receive immediate
short-term help. Welfare-to-Work services are available to eligible CalWORKs adults to help
them prepare for work and find a job.

Education classes including job search readiness and
paraprofessional training, Learning Disability Screening and
Evaluation, and an on-line
or printed Welfare-to-Work Handbook.
