Boards, Committees and Commissions

Members of Boards, Commissions, and Committees provide an important service to our County and an opportunity for the public to participate in the County's decision-making process on a wide variety of issues and concerns. Serving on a commission can be a rewarding experience and an opportunity to make a personal contribution to the community.  There are over 30 appointed bodies functioning within Yuba County and are listed on the Local Appointment List. 

The Local Appointment List indicates the name of each body, number and term of representatives, qualifications to serve, and the current members and terms of office.  Current vacancies are indicated below and posted at the Government Center, Yuba County Library, and are also available on the local community channel of Comcast Cable. Questions regarding commission functions may be directed to the commission itself or the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors office at (530) 749-7510.

Applications for appointment to each body may be submitted to the Clerk of the Board's office at the expiration of a term of office or in the event of unscheduled vacancies.
