To expedite processing of minor
land use entitlements under the Yuba County Subdivision and Zoning Ordinances,
County Code has established the Staff Development Committee and Zoning
Administrator (SDC/ZA) function. The Staff Development Committee consists
of representatives appointed by the Community Development Director and Public
Works Director. The Zoning Administrator function is staffed by
representatives appointed by the Community Development Director. In
practice, these same persons serve as representatives of a combined SDC/ZA
function and represent the Public Works Department, and the Planning and
Environmental Health Divisions of the Community Development Department.
The SDC/ZA serves as the public
hearing body for decisions on Tentative Parcel Maps, minor Conditional Use
Permits, and Variances as provided by Yuba County Code. The Committee also
reviews and makes recommendations on Tentative Subdivision Tract Maps and major
Conditional Use Permits prior to their consideration by the Yuba County Planning
Commission. Both the Subdivision Ordinance and Zoning Ordinance provide
that decisions of the SDC/ZA may be appealed to the Planning Commission
***Please Note:
Beginning May 4, 2011 the SDC/ZA will hold public hearing meetings
on the first
Wednesday of each month.***
The Staff Development Committee/Zoning
Administrator (SDC) holds regular public meetings on the first Wednesday of each
month at 9:00 am in Conference Room No. 4 at the Yuba County Governmental
Center, 915 8th Street, in Marysville, CA. All SDC meetings are open to
the public. See AGENDAS below for items to be considered at specific
