CLASSES OFFERED
Smoking Cessation Class:
Cessation classes are offered 6 times a year. The classes run for
5 weeks, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12pm to 1:30pm. Each class
provides educational information and techniques for a successful stop
smoking experience. It covers how our mind and body are reacting
to the changes of becoming a non smoker. Support and encouragement
is ongoing.

Busy Bodies, Fun Physical Education
Class: Busy Bodies, Fun Physical Education is a
program parents can bring their preschool children to participate in
group activities which will encourage physical activity in their daily
life. Children will develop their motor skills through games and
dances that will be entertaining as well as educational. Join us
on the 3rd Thursday of the month, 11:15am to 12pm at the Yuba County Library! There is no cost
for this program.
Bike Helmet Class: The
class will focus on safety and how to properly fit and wear a bike
helmet. Participants need to call to register at least a day
before the class and provide proof of residency (Yuba County).
Helmets are included and are available to kids under 18 years of age and
need to be present to receive the helmet. There is no cost for
this program. Classes are open to anyone
and are offered throughout the year.

K.I.S.S. (Kids in Safety Seats) Carseat
classes are offered in 3 languages: English, Spanish and Hmong.
To qualify for a car seat you need to be a Yuba County resident, pre
registration is required. There is no cost to attend the class
or receive a car seat. Car
seats that are offered include
convertible, forward facing combination car seat or high-back
booster seat. The schedule are as follows:
Classes in English are held every
first Wednesday from 2-4
PM.
Classes in Spanish are held
every second Wednesday from 1-3 PM.
Classes in Hmong are held every second Wednesday
from 3-5 PM.
Water Safety Class:
The water ways of Yuba County are a popular family outing and Yuba
County Public Health wants to promote water safety. Educational classes
are offered for families and life jackets are fitted to children under
18 years of age. To qualify the family needs to be a Yuba County
resident. This is a no cost program. Classes
are open to anyone and are offered
beginning in the Spring through the Summer.

Hepatitis
C Support Group:
The hepatitis C support group provides
knowledge, support and encouragement to those
affected by hepatitis C. Classes are offered on the 2nd Thursday
of the Month from 3-5PM. Call to sign up for the next scheduled
class.
Most classes are held at the Packard
Center Facility located at 5730 Packard Avenue in Marysville at the Yuba
County Health and Human Services, unless otherwise
indicated. To register for an upcoming
